Gwynedd Forklifts is today delighted to announce an exciting partnership with multiple British Touring Car Championship race winner, Árón Taylor-Smith, for the opening round of the 2024 season.
Gwynedd Forklifts is set to make a statement in the 2024 British Touring Car Championship as they support Aron Taylor-Smith for the opening race at Donington on April 28th. This exciting partnership highlights the synergy between Gwynedd Forklifts, Briggs Equipment and Taylor-Smith, as the Irish ace embarks on his tenth season in the nation’s most widely followed motorsport championship.
The partnership between Gwynedd Forklifts and Taylor-Smith is further enhanced by their existing relationship with Briggs Equipment, a leading provider of materials handling equipment. This strategic alliance brings together industry expertise and racing talent, creating a formidable team ready to take on the competition at the highest level of motorsport. As the countdown to the opening race intensifies, guests of Gwynedd Forklifts will have the unique opportunity to join the Irishman trackside in VIP hospitality on race day at Donington Park. This exclusive experience promises an up-close and personal look at the action-packed race day, with behind-the-scenes insights into the world of the BTCC.
Taylor-Smith commented: “I’ve been fortunate enough to get to know some of the Gwynedd team over the last couple of seasons due to my partnership with Briggs Equipment. In fact, they’ve been a bit of a thorn in my side at our annual charity kart race each year, so it’s somewhat nice to know that finally we will be on the same team! I really can’t thank everyone at Gwynedd enough for the support as it truly makes a difference, and I genuinely can’t wait to have them trackside for the first race.”
The 2024 season is really taking shape for Taylor-Smith as he re-signed with Power Maxed Racing after a superb 2023 season. The 2023 season was certainly a standout year for Taylor-Smith after having signed for Power Maxed Racing prior to the start of the season. Once acclimated within the team, the Irishman became a force to be reckoned with as he constantly challenged for podiums whilst accumulating four independent wins in the second half of the season alone. In a silverware-laden season for the Dubliner, Taylor-Smith also added the affirmation four Independent class victories to a trophy cabinet that already includes four outright race wins and, now, 20 podiums finishes since making his debut back in 2011. The past nine months have certainly marked something of a renaissance for Taylor-Smith’s touring car career, and the focus has already shifted towards making 2024 an even bigger step towards the ultimate goal of championship glory.
